Venue
The venue of the workshop will be the IFT building, located within the Cantoblanco campus of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM), in the north of Madrid. All talks and discussion sessions will be held at the "Sala Azul" (Blue Room) at the ground floor.
Nearby the IFT there are several options where to have lunch:
- Plaza Mayor canteen (ground floor) and restaurant (first floor) - 10 minutes from IFT building on foot
- Restaurant "El Goloso" at Plaza Mayor - 10 minutes from IFT building on foot
Moreover, in the basement there are some vending machines where to get basic sandwiches and coffee.
How to get to the IFT
- From the Airport
Take the line C10 of "Cercanias" (Cercanias = Madrid suburban train line) from "Aeropuerto T4" to "Madrid Chamartin". In Chamartin, take either the Cercanias line C4 to "Alcobendas/S.S. de Los Reyes" or the line C4a to "Colmenar Viejo" up to "Cantoblanco".
From the Cantoblanco station, the IFT can be reached on foot. The IFT is approximately 20 min walking from there. This map may be useful.
Alternatively, taking the taxi service from the Airport to the Madrid Autonoma University costs around 30 €.

- From Madrid city center
Take either the Cercanias line C1 or C10 from "Madrid Atocha" to "Madrid Chamartin". In Chamartin, take either the Cercanias line C4 (with destination "Alcobendas/S.S. de Los Reyes") or the line C4a (with destination "Colmenar Viejo") up to the "Cantoblanco" station. From there, the IFT can be reached on foot (see this map).
The IFT can also be reached by bus. The following buses depart from "Plaza de Castilla" (in the north of Madrid city center), and the stop to get to the IFT is "TERMINAL UNIV. AUTONOMA - Newton", close to the CBM building, very close to the IFT one.
Plaza de Castilla can be reached by metro from Atocha station, taking the Metro lines 1, 9 or 10.

How to get to Madrid city center
- From the Airport
Take the Cercanias line C10 of Cercanias from "Aeropuerto T4" to "Madrid Atocha". From there, the city center can be reached on foot. The Mediodia Hotel can be found in front of the Atocha station.
Alternatively, a "Direct Bus" can be taken right in front of the exit of the Airport Terminal T4, which will take you directly to the Atocha station. This autobus also stops at terminals T1/2/3.
Finally, taking the taxi service from the Airport to the Madrid city center costs around 30 €.
- From the IFT
Reach the "Cantoblanco" station on foot from the IFT (see this map). Then, take the Cercanias line C4 from "Cantoblanco" to "Madrid Chamartin". In Chamartin, Cercanias lines C1, C2, C7 or C10 can be taken to "Madrid Atocha".
