Information about transportation connecting the airport, downtown Madrid, and the IFT can be found here:

http://www.ift.uam-csic.es/en/contactm

Rooms

Talks will take place in the IFT Red Room (level 0). Coffee discussions will take place in Gray Room 1 (level 0). Morning coffee breaks will take place in the discussion area in level -1 Monday-Wednesday and Thursday 31/05; in the IFT Common Room (level 3) on Fridays; and in the CFTMAT would-be cafeteria (by the building entrance) on Thursday 24/05.

Dining

We plan to organise one dinner each week (on Wednesday, not covered by our funding) in some nice place downtown. People interested in attending please drop an email to our secretariat (secretaria.ift@csic.es, att. Mónica Vergel).

A google map (unfortunately not much up-to-date) with some dining suggestions can be found at

Museums

Most of the major museums in Madrid have afternoon/evening free-entrance days. Information here:

http://turismomadrid.es/en/featured/12628-free-museums.html

The Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums are all within walking distance of Hotel Mediodía, and are easily reachable from Apartamentos Juan Bravo using, e.g., metro lines 2 (Manuel Becerra -> Banco de España) or 5+1 (Diego de León -> Atocha).
